Job summary

Field Fastener is seeking a Distribution Center Associate in Columbus, OH. This role executes daily warehousing activities to meet team goals in order-fulfillment, inventory control, quality, and shipping.

The position reports to the Distribution Center Team Leader and involves hands-on operations within a fast-paced, team-based environment. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in shipping/receiving or DC operation, strong communication, and a customer-service mindset.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 2+ years in a shipping/receiving or distribution center operation.
• Proven track record of results.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
• Experience with material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Experience with RF scanners.
• Ability to count accurately and read numbers.
• Strong communication with internal/external customers and suppliers.
• Customer service focus to expedite orders and respond to requests.
• Good time management and attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform general shipping and warehouse duties including physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.
• Read order details and manage paperwork.
• Respond to requests for hot orders and expedited shipping.
• Troubleshoot shipping or technical issues.
• Meet daily shipment responsibilities (VMI, UPS, FedEx, DHL, LTL).
• Operate DC equipment safely (forklifts, pallet jacks).
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and support SOP improvements.
