Job summary

GPC, a leading distribution and logistics company, is seeking an on-site Site Security Coordinator in York, PA to protect personnel, inventory, and facilities. You will manage access, monitor alarms, and respond to incidents in a fast-paced warehouse setting.

The role requires strong judgement, independence, and clear communication with site leadership and corporate security. Prior security/warehouse experience is preferred and capability to work with badge systems and Microsoft Office is

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of security or related experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse/distribution environments preferred.
• Proficient with badge access software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Enforce site security protocols and escalation procedures.
• Oversee alarm monitoring and response.
• Distribute facility access badges/keys per leadership direction.
• Audit active badge holders and compare with rosters and contractor lists.
• Verify credentials for employees, contractors and visitors.
• Control entry/exit points and conduct bag checks when needed.
• Monitor dock doors, yard, and perimeters; coordinate dock assignments.
• Respond to security incidents and support investigations.
• Maintain security logs and asset protection documentation.
