Job summary

Genuine Parts Company seeks a Site Security Coordinator to maintain safety, security, and controlled access at a modern distribution center. You will serve as the primary on-site security presence, protecting team members, inventory, equipment, and automated systems while aligning with site leadership and corporate security policies.

The role requires strong situational awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to work independently in a lean environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of security, law enforcement, military, or industrial safety experience preferred.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environments preferred.
• Basic proficiency with computer systems, badge access software, and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Access Control and Facility Security enforcement.
• Oversee emergency alarm monitoring and response.
• Distribute facility access badges/keys as directed.
• Audit active badge holders against employee rosters and contractor lists.
• Control and monitor all entry/exit points to the facility.
• Monitor dock doors, yard activity, and secure perimeters.
• Respond to security, medical, fire, or operational incidents.
• Prepare detailed incident reports with accuracy and professionalism.
• Support investigations and evidence collection as needed.
