Job summary

Ollie’s Distribution Center is seeking a Receiver to accurately count cases and pallets when merchandise is received, verify packing slips, and sign bills of lading. The role includes conducting visual checks, directing Freight Handlers, and ensuring safe, organized work areas.

Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and can work independently with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, not required.
• Ability to work independently and self-motivated to seek work.
• Ability to prioritize work and plan movements ahead to maximize movements.
• Efficient planning, prioritization and implementation of detailed instructions.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Accurately count cases and pallets of product when received.
• Provide visual and physical case pack check.
• Provide signatures for the bills of lading and the receipt of various merchandise at the Distribution Center.
• Ensure that product received matches the product listed on the packing slips.
• Mark material with identifying information using the appropriate method.
• Provide direction to Freight Handlers for proper allocation of product.
• Follow all safety rules and regulations.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area that is free of debris.
• Maintain efficiency and productivity measures as outlined and designated by managers and supervisors.
• Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
