Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an Operations Team Leader for the Jurupa Valley Distribution Center to oversee warehouse production, inventory, and team performance in a full-time, on-site role.

Direct daily production activities, schedule work, lead supervisors, and drive efficiency while ensuring safety and compliance. Requires HS diploma, valid driver’s license, background check, and strong Excel/Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current valid driver's license and ability to pass MVR.
• Must pass background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
• Experience leading teams in a high-volume operation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily production activities to achieve volume, quality, and turnaround goals.
• Develop production schedules based on donation volume, staffing, and business needs.
• Monitor workflow and remove bottlenecks to maximize throughput and labor productivity.
• Coordinate receiving, sorting, grading, pricing, and outbound distribution activities.
• Hire, train, coach, and develop production supervisors and associates.
• Establish clear performance expectations and monitor KPIs.
• Conduct performance evaluations and address employee issues promptly.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure consistent grading and pricing standards; monitor inventory movement and maintain records.
• Minimize shrink through proper controls and inventory management practices.
• Perform routine audits to ensure operational accuracy.
• Maintain OSHA compliance and Salvation Army policies; ensure safety inspections.
