Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Distribution Center Department Manager to lead safe, accurate, and efficient operations in a defined area of the DC. You will cross-train teams and drive key performance metrics while aligning with company policies.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of supervisory experience in distribution or manufacturing, plus strong communication, budget oversight, and hands-on involvement with WMS, RF, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Business, Management, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years supervisory experience in distribution/manufacturing.
• Self-starter with initiative; able to execute tasks with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and changing priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy.
• Experience with WMS, RF, ERP technologies; strong MS Office knowledge.
• Ability to comprehend procedures, systems and data.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Dept. provides accurate, prompt deliveries to internal and external customers.
• Provide direction for all Dept. functions: receiving, movement, freight, picking, packing, shipping, and supplies purchasing, inventory control, and safety.
• Coordinate with CI Manager and DC Industrial Engineers for capital improvements.
• Coordinate with IE and IT to ensure hardware, software, barcode scanners, conveyors, printers function properly.
• Maintain Dept. operations within budget; analyze costs and implement reductions.
• Maintain activity records including shipments, damages, inventory, manpower, and provide summaries to superiors.
• Provide accurate budget and forecast data.
• Collaborate with managers to formulate and implement facility policies and goals.
• Strategic planning and implementation in Dept.; drive continuous improvement to reduce costs.
