Job summary

Milwaukee Tool is seeking a Sr. Distribution Manager to oversee safety, productivity, and quality in a multi-site distribution center.

You will lead a team of supervisors and hundreds of hourly employees, drive on-time shipping for diverse customers, and manage lean transformation initiatives across inbound, outbound, and cycle counting. The role requires 5+ years leading distribution teams, strong knowledge of WMS and automation, and proven ability to deploy lean methodologies such as value

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years leading distribution teams in a multi-site, high-volume center.
  • Strong knowledge of distribution principles, WMS, and automation systems.
  • Excellent analytical and logical thinking skills to analyze complex processes.
  • Proficient in Lean principles including Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, and problem solving.
  • Strong organizational, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage supervisors and managers across inbound, picking, outbound, and cycle counting.
  • Develop and manage continuous improvement and cost-savings projects with cross-functional teams.
  • Prepare reports on on-time shipments, fill rate, shipment accuracy and safety.
  • Mentor functional leaders and hourly associates in lean management and strategy deployment.
  • Design and improve process flows to meet rising demand and ensure on-time shipment.
  • Ensure safety and resource requirements are integrated into all projects.

Ensures operations meets on-time shipping requirements for a large customer base via truckload, LTL and parcel shipments.
