Distribution Center Manager

Department: Warehouse Operations
Reports To: Regional Logistics Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full-Time
Location: Atlanta Distribution Center

Lead the People. Own the Operation. Drive the Results.

Tire Rack is looking for an experienced, motivated, and results-driven Distribution Center Manager to lead our Atlanta distribution center! We're seeking a dynamic leader who understands that running a successful distribution center is about more than moving products. It's about developing people, building a strong culture, and creating an operation that delivers results.

As Distribution Center Manager, you are the leader of your building. From the people and culture to safety, operational performance, customer experience, and the overall condition of the facility, you will have responsibility for everything that happens within your four walls.

Above all, this is a people leadership role. The successful candidate will build a strong leadership team, coach and develop future leaders, and create an environment where employees feel valued, supported, and engaged. Your success will be measured not only by the results your building delivers, but also by the strength of the team you develop and the culture you create.

This is an opportunity to run your distribution center like a business. You'll have the autonomy to lead, the accountability to deliver results, and the support of a broader leadership team committed to your success.

If you're a hands-on leader who takes ownership, leads by example, and knows how to bring out the best in people while driving operational excellence, we want to hear from you!

What You'll Do

  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and accountable workplace culture where employees feel valued and engaged.
  • Establish clear performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback, and recognize individual and team accomplishments.
  • Lead by example, encouraging collaboration, teamwork, and continuous improvement throughout the facility.
Own the Operation
  • Oversee all daily distribution center operations, including receiving, inventory storage, order fulfillment, and shipping.
  • Take ownership of the overall performance, safety, organization, and condition of the facility.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies that improve productivity, efficiency, and service.
  • Review operational reports, work orders, and demand forecasts to anticipate staffing needs and prepare for peak business periods.
  • Coordinate transportation schedules, shipping instructions, and delivery activities to ensure timely and accurate product distribution.
  • Monitor shipments, resolve operational challenges, and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.
Drive Safety, Performance, and Continuous Improvement
  • Develop, implement, and enforce warehouse safety and security procedures to maintain a safe and productive work environment.
  • Oversee warehouse equipment, facility maintenance, and employee equipment training.
  • Inspect facility conditions and coordinate necessary repairs, maintenance, or equipment replacement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, maximize resources, and strengthen overall operational performance.
  • Support facility enhancements, equipment investments, and expansion initiatives as business needs evolve.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
Collaborate and Deliver Results
  • Partner with department leaders and corporate management to align distribution center operations with company goals.
  • Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation.
  • Respond to customer and shipping concerns with a focus on timely resolution and service excellence.
  • Make informed decisions that balance employee engagement, operational efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
  • Take accountability for the overall success of the distribution center and the development of its people.
What We're Looking For
