Job summary

Advance Auto Parts seeks a Distribution Center Maintenance I Technician to perform general and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, structures, and grounds.

The role requires reading blueprints, following safety protocols, and assisting skilled technicians with pipe systems, gauges, and hydraulic equipment. A high school diploma and basic maintenance experience are valued, with a strong focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 1-2 years related maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in distribution center or industrial maintenance preferred.
• Ability to read MSDS and follow safety rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform general repairs on equipment
• Install and repair electrical apparatus such as transformers, lights, outlets, circuit breakers, wiring, and electrical components
• Complete minor maintenance such as changing light bulbs and cleaning equipment
• Paint, plaster and perform building/grounds maintenance including plumbing and carpentry
• Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to batteries, equipment, and conveying systems
• Assist skilled personnel in disassembly/assembly of pipe systems and related hydraulic equipment
• Assist skilled personnel in repairs and replacements of gauges, valves, and regulators
• Follow safety guidelines while maintaining equipment and structures to ensure efficient operations
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment malfunctions
• Store hazardous materials properly at shift end or when not in use
