Job summary

Goodwill South Florida is seeking a Distribution Center Manager to oversee the Broward/Miami-Dade operations from Ft. Lauderdale. You will manage donations, inbound/outbound freight, and staff performance to meet sales and service goals.

You will direct safety programs, ensure DOT compliance, and lead a team of supervisors and drivers to optimize warehouse and dock operations. This role requires strong leadership and hands-on oversight of daily logistics activities.

Qualifications

• BS Degree or equivalent education and experience in transportation management.
• 3–5 years of management experience in transportation environments.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Directs the collection and disposition of donated and purchased materials.
• Monitors daily truck activities against established time and mileage standards.
• Ensures compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) laws and regulations.
• Oversees the fleet maintenance of trucks.
• Supervises agency shipping and receiving.
• Establishes, implements, and evaluates operational policies and procedures for all salvage activities.
• Maintains compliance with department policies and procedures.
• Identifies safety issues and implements safety procedures to ensure an accident-free workplace.
• Initiates recruitment efforts, conducts interviews, and oversees final hiring reviews for all staff.
• Recommends, initiates, and reviews personnel actions, such as hiring, promotions, transfers, disciplinary actions, and discharges.
• Responsible for Miami or Broward outlet stores.
• All other duties as assigned.
