Job summary

Genuine Parts Company is seeking a warehouse associate to stage, shrink wrap, and load pallets for truck delivery. The role requires safe handling, trailer inspection, and accurate packing for routes.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma (or equivalent), forklift certification preferred, and reliable attendance. Physical tasks include lifting up to 60 lbs and occasional climbing to reach shelves. Strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Regular, reliable attendance.
• Able to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Capable of recognizing letters and numbers and remembering sequence.
• Able to use basic computer skills.
• Capable of lifting and moving merchandise up to 60 lbs.
• Able to push/pull up to 300 lbs with mechanical aids.
• Able to bend or stoop to floor-level shelves and reach eight feet with stool or ladder.
• Must be able to get in and out of back of truck with parts on a ramp.
• Able to stand and walk for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Stages product on pallets, shrinks wraps, and loads pallets on trucks.
• Inspects trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensures correct parts are on the correct truck and routes are mapped for loading.
• Operates pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Maintains product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keeps work area clean to avoid accidents and enable rapid loading.
• Pulls stock orders until time to load trucks as needed.
• Assists with processing other DC shuttles.
• Adheres to all safety procedures and regulations.
