Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

This position is responsible for staging, shrink wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping products to ensure safe transportation or storage, including proper balancing and placement of products. Additionally, the role includes assisting with pallet building and selecting products for specific routes.

Responsibilities include:

• Staging products on pallets, shrink wrapping to prevent loss, and loading pallets onto trucks.
• Inspecting trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensuring correct parts are placed on the correct trucks, accurately and efficiently packing and organizing customer orders for loading.
• Operating pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
• Maintaining product integrity through proper handling and storage.
• Keeping the work area clean to prevent accidents and facilitate rapid loading.
• Pulling stock orders as needed and assisting with processing other DC shuttles.
• Following all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements include:

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Reliable attendance and ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Ability to recognize and remember letters and numbers (visually and aurally).
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with mechanical aids.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and work in various physical positions.
• Must be able to get in and out of trucks and stand/walk for entire shifts.

Work environment: Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and extreme weather conditions. Noise levels are usually moderate.
