Job description

Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

This position is responsible for staging, shrink-wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping products to ensure safe transportation or storage, including proper balancing and placement. The role also includes assisting with pallet building and selecting products for specific routes.

Responsibilities include:

• Staging products on pallets, shrink-wrapping to prevent loss, and loading pallets onto trucks.
• Inspecting trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensuring correct parts are loaded onto the correct trucks, accurately and efficiently.
• Operating pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
• Maintaining the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
• Keeping the work area clean for safety and efficiency.
• Pulling stock orders and assisting with processing other DC shuttles.
• Following all safety procedures and regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements include:

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Reliable attendance and ability to speak clearly and listen attentively.
• Ability to recognize letters and numbers, and basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs, push/pull up to 300 lbs with aids, and reach shelves.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Work environment: Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and extreme weather conditions. Noise level is usually moderate.
