Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

Position Mission

This position will be responsible for staging, shrink wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It prepares palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping to ensure safe transportation or storage, including proper balancing and placement of products. Additionally, this role assists with pallet building and selecting products for specific routes.

Responsibilities

  • Stage products on pallets, shrink wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets onto trucks.
  • Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
  • Ensure correct parts are placed on the correct truck, packing the right parts for delivery with accuracy and speed, and organize the loading of customer orders from skids to trucks.
  • Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
  • Maintain product integrity through proper handling and storage.
  • Keep the work area clean to prevent accidents and facilitate rapid loading.
  • Pull stock orders as needed until trucks are loaded.
  • Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
  • Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience, Education, and Abilities

  • High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required.
  • Forklift certification preferred.
  • Reliable and predictable attendance.
  • Clear communication skills and attentive listening.
  • Ability to recognize and remember letters and numbers (visually and aurally).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull up to 300 lbs. using mechanical aids.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach shelves (up to 8 feet) with assistance if needed.
  • Ability to get in and out of trucks using ramps.
  • Stand and walk for entire shifts.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and outside weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

This position offers a starting hourly rate of $23.50, with potential pay progression within 12 months based on skills and experience.
