Join to apply for the Distribution Center Loader role at NAPA Auto Parts.

This position will be responsible for staging, shrink wrapping, and loading products by trip number and store number as received from the packing and pulling areas of the stockroom. It involves preparing palletized loads for shipment by shrink-wrapping to ensure safe transportation or storage, including proper balancing and placement of products. Additionally, the role assists with safe pallet building and selecting products for specific routes.

Responsibilities

• Stage products on pallets, shrink wrap to prevent loss, and load pallets onto trucks.
• Inspect trailers for suitability before loading.
• Ensure correct parts are placed on the correct truck, packing the right parts for delivery with accuracy and speed, and organizing the loading of customer orders from skids to trucks.
• Operate pallet jack or forklift as needed.
• Maintain the integrity of products through proper handling and storage.
• Keep work area clean to prevent accidents and facilitate rapid loading.
• Pull stock orders as needed.
• Assist with processing other DC shuttles.
• Follow all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Experience, Education, and Abilities

• High School Diploma or 6 months of equivalent work experience required.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Reliable and predictable attendance.
• Clear communication skills.
• Ability to recognize and remember letters and numbers visually and aurally.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and push/pull up to 300 lbs. with mechanical aids.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach shelves, and get in/out of trucks safely.
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift.

Work Environment

The role involves occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, hazardous materials, and outside weather conditions of extreme heat and cold. Noise levels are usually moderate.
