Qualifications

• Three years of general experience in administrative, professional, investigative or other responsible work that enabled the applicant to gain general knowledge of one or more aspects of physical distribution support.
• Two years of progressively responsible experience providing knowledge of distribution and warehouse management systems, materiel handling practices, or related areas, including supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs activities in receipt, inspection, ticketing, order picking, and storage of warehouse merchandise.
• Coordinates consolidation, packing, and shipping of merchandise from warehouse to branches and stores.
• Controls merchandise from receipt to shipment and ensures accuracy of orders.
• Administers a quality assurance program to verify quantity/quality and order accuracy.
• Arranges for return to vendor of damaged or mis-shipped items.
• Plans work assignments, schedules equipment/personnel, supervises staff and space utilization.
• Conducts inspections of equipment/work areas and oversees maintenance programs.
• Manages safe operation of fleet vehicles and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Coordinates safety training for personnel, including HazMat awareness.
• Supervises inventories and maintains training files for operators.
• Prepares operational reports for analysis and evaluation.
