Job summary

HD Supply is seeking a DC supervisor to oversee multiple departments within the distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, and replenishment. You will provide direction and motivation to warehouse associates while upholding safety, productivity and quality.

The role requires experience in distribution operations and a proven ability to mentor staff, identify improvements, and ensure adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience working in a distribution center.
• 2+ years of experience in a lead or mentorship role.

Responsibilities

• Supervises multiple departments within the distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment.
• Provides direction and motivation to warehouse associates while ensuring safety, productivity, and quality.
• Monitors productivity of warehouse associates and balances workload to meet production and delivery goals.
• Provides training, tools, and equipment to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Acts as a point-of-contact for escalated issues and ensures smooth warehousing operations.
• Identifies process improvements to enhance DC performance and department effectiveness.
• Evaluates the DC’s alignment for efficiency and inventory management.
• Ensures clean work areas and compliance with safety policies and procedures.
• Completes relevant paperwork and productivity reports.

Education
