Job summary

Best Buy is seeking a Distribution Center Area Manager in Curtis Bay, MD to provide daily leadership to a Delivery Distribution Center (DDC). You will oversee receipt, storage and distribution of merchandise to stores, warehouses, home deliveries and shuttle services.

Using behavior-based coaching, you will develop teams and drive continuous improvement while aligning with Best Buy values. You will coach, set objectives and ensure safety, accuracy and productivity for a high-performing

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Distribution, Operations, Warehousing, Customer Service, related field or Military equivalent.
• 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in Business, Military or other fields.
• Associate degree or higher in Business, Logistics or related fields preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hires, coaches and manages performance of an hourly staff.
• Provides tactical direction for an hourly workforce within a DDC.
• Partners with leadership to meet productivity, safety and quality goals.
• Facilitates change and sets objectives for warehouse operations.
• Maintains a positive work environment and recognizes employee contributions.
• Encourage feedback on operational, policy and cultural aspects of the department.
