Job summary

Albertsons Companies seeks an Automation Reliability Program Manager to lead maintenance and reliability across multiple automated distribution centers. You will oversee standards, training, and performance metrics while coordinating with OEMs, IT, and site leaders to improve uptime, safety, and cost efficiency.

This corporate role requires coaching teams, managing complex systems, and traveling 30–50% to support various facilities. A strong background in warehouse automation is essential.

Qualifications

• Deep understanding of warehouse automation maintenance and reliability in high-volume distribution environments.
• Strong knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance methodologies for automation.
• Experience with multi-site maintenance standards and training programs.
• KPI-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
• Ability to coach technicians and influence without direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Own automation maintenance and reliability standards across multiple distribution centers.
• Lead predictive and preventive maintenance for conveyors, sortation, AS/RS, shuttle systems, robotics, and AGVs.
• Serve as escalation and coaching resource for site maintenance and reliability leaders.
• Partner with OEMs and integrators (Witron, Dematic, Symbotic, KNAPP) on system support and lifecycle management.
• Define spare parts strategies and procurement alignment.
• Design and manage maintenance training programs and certification paths.
• Track training completion and certification compliance across facilities.
• Define KPIs and report on system uptime, MTTR, and maintenance costs.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and operations on upgrades and data analytics.
