Job summary

Pacer Group in Four Oaks, NC is seeking a Distribution Associate to support warehouse and material distribution activities, including processing customer orders, picking and packing products, palletizing shipments, and preparing orders for shipment.

This role requires pallet jack experience and RF scanner use; high school diploma preferred; must pass a 10-panel drug screen within 48 hours of offer. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:00 PM with moderate overtime.

Qualifications

• Previous pallet jack operation experience required.
• Ability to obtain electric pallet jack certification.
• Ability to operate MHE and use RF scanning equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret distribution documents.
• Basic organizational, analytical, and prioritization skills.
• General knowledge of warehouse/distribution operations.
• Approximately 1 year of relevant warehouse/distribution experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer orders by scanning barcodes, picking cases, and labeling boxes.
• Pick, scan, and palletize completed orders.
• Use RF scanners/technology to process warehouse orders.
• Verify order accuracy and properly package shipments.
• Scan completed pallets and operate a shrink wrapper when required.
• Perform dock manifest and ground/manual manifest duties as needed.
• Learn other warehouse functions and provide backup support during absences or vacations.
• Follow warehouse safety and operational procedures.

Important Requirements:

• Previous experience operating a pallet jack is required.
• Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED is preferred but not required.
• A 10-panel drug screen is required and must be completed within 48 hours of accepting the job offer.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to work around and safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to climb occasionally when required.
• Must have sufficient vision and hearing to safely perform warehouse and MHE-related duties.

Work Environment

• Warehouse/distribution environment with moderate to loud noise levels.
• Regular exposure to moving mechanical equipment.
• May involve temperature changes, fumes, airborne particles, and other warehouse-related conditions.
• Must follow all applicable workplace safety procedures.
