Job summary

Confidential Company in Illinois seeks a Distribution Manager to direct all distribution activities across Operations, Transportation, Logistics Planning, and Inventory Management. The role emphasizes contract management, pricing controls, and frieght rate accuracy.

The candidate will build relationships with distribution centers, support daily supply chain issues, and monitor inventory levels. 1–3 years in distribution management in foodservice or multi-point networks is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Experience in distribution management (DSD and Broadline) and freight lane management is desirable.
• Experience working with a foodservice chain with multiple distribution points or a large franchise base is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with directing all distribution activities including Operations, Distribution Network Growth, Transportation, Logistics Planning, and Inventory Management.
• Ensure that approved products are effectively distributed throughout the restaurant system under the agreed upon terms and conditions including accurate pricing and freight rates.
• Monthly contract management responsibilities including pricing, documentation and implementation.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key distribution centers and other warehouse providers.
• Provide support for daily Supply Chain issues including out of stocks, shortages, late trucks and product recoveries.
• Regular inventory analysis - Follow up on roll outs, product changes and initiatives as it pertains to supply chain and distribution.
• Back office systems management - Familiarity with Crunchtime, recipe/item set up, shop support
• Price verification and support of Supply Chain controls
• Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION AND BEHAVIORS

• Excellent customer service skills in all areas; including phone support, crisis management, and vendor/supplier relations.
• Education, Training & Certification: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field. Computer skills in Microsoft Office, and with spreadsheets and analytical tools, such as Excel or Access.
• Experience in Similar Role or Function: 1 to 3 years experience in Distribution Management (DSD and Broadline) and Freight Lane Management; Contract Management/Compliances; Inventory Management or equivalent experience.
• Industry Experience: Experience working with a foodservice chain, with multiple distribution points. Experience with a chain that has at least a 25% franchise base.
