Job summary

Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Distribution Components Assembler for the 2nd shift to help manufacture components used with bushings. You will read drawings and procedures, operate assembly equipment, and work at designated stations with standard and customized tooling.

Responsibilities include assisting with data from engineering and shipping, operating fixed equipment and potentially a forklift, and maintaining safety and quality standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

**Distribution Assembler****2nd Shift****The opportunity:**Hitachi Energy in Alamo, TN is seeking a Distribution Components Assembler to join its team. Distribution components assemblers will help manufacture various items used and associated with bushings. This position will be responsible for ensuring that products are within customer specifications and expectations.**Your Responsibilities:*** Works with standard and customized tools.* Works within assembly stations and with cranes, process equipment, computer controls, and custom fixtures.* Based on the needs of the business, may be required to operate a forklift.* May be required to give information to engineering, purchasing, customer service and shipping as required by assignment.* Continuously train on new equipment or new processes within the teamwork structure with limited supervision.* Works with paper, oil, gaskets, aluminum, copper, steel, epoxy compounds, glass, sealants, ink, ammonia, lower supports, lower porcelain, flanges, upper porcelain, top terminals, bowls, foil, spring assembly, lead solder paste.* Able to perform repetitive fast-paced assembly work to meet deadlines.* Living Hitachi Energy’s core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.**Your Background:*** High school diploma or GED.* Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.* Must be able to successfully read drawings and procedure.* Manufacturing experience preferred.
