Job summary

Florida Department of Health in Port Charlotte, FL is seeking a Distributed Computer Systems Analyst II to support and secure a distributed computing environment. You will install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise software while coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure service continuity.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in CS/MIS or related field, strong AD and virtualization knowledge, and the ability to train staff and manage IT processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, MIS, or related field preferred.
• Strong knowledge of distributed computing environments and IT operations.
• Experience with LAN/WAN troubleshooting and server support.
• Familiarity with security patches and change management processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical duties including server and AD support.
• Assist in documenting, implementing, and securing distributed systems.
• Coordinate vendor escalations and service desk workflows.
• Support disaster preparedness and IT process improvements.
• Deliver user guidance and training on hardware, software, and productivity tools.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, access, and enterprise service dependencies.
• Assist with system updates, monitoring, and service reliability.
