Job summary

McKinstry seeks a Construction Operations Manager to join the Distributed Energy Renewables (DER) National team. This national role leads all aspects of solar PV, BESS and other DER projects from an operational level, ensuring customer and employee satisfaction and profitable outcomes.

You will collaborate with business development, field teams and other units to win work that aligns with McKinstry capabilities and plans, while driving cost control, schedule adherence and high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• 10+ years of DER industry experience (Solar, BESS, microgrid, other).
• 7+ years of project management experience.
• 7+ years of experience leading people with a high standard of excellence.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficient in forecasting and managing cost types.

Responsibilities

• Lead construction of solar PV, BESS, and other DER projects.
• Manage staffing, budgeting, and scheduling to ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery.
• Collaborate with DER business development, field teams and other units to win work and align with plans.
• Drive safety, quality, and productivity, and ensure compliance with McKinstry processes.
