Job summary

Jobtailor in Gainesville, FL seeks a technically skilled IT Support Technician to assist the System Administrator with hardware, software and networking tasks, with frequent on-site travel to County Health Departments.

You will perform workstation/server setup, configure networks, monitor and troubleshoot problems, and support users through the help desk while maintaining plans and training users.

Qualifications

• Minimum - Valid Driver's License.
• Minimum of 1 year IT experience.
• Preferred - Industry certifications such as CompTIA+, Network+, Security+.

Responsibilities

• Assist the System Administrator with LAN and WAN support at local and regional levels.
• Support CHD users on-site at consortium locations; troubleshoot hardware, software and networking issues.

• Maintain a work plan and schedule for consortium IT support.
• Generate, track and process help desk tickets through the Help Desk Application.

Job description

This is a technical consortium level position supporting 10 County Health Departments.

This position is intended to assist the System Administrator in supporting the CHD users with hardware, software and networking functions.

Support will require frequent travel to consortium CHDs for on-site support.

Duties include assisting the System Administrator with LAN and WAN support at the local and regional level.

Performs workstation/server setup and configurations, network settings and peripheral device installation within assigned consortium CHDs.

Maintain a work plan and schedule for consortium support.

Generate and track and process assigned help tickets thru our Help Desk Application.

Assist in the preparation of and provides training for the proper use of computer equipment.

Monitors the use of software and hardware throughout the consortium.

Performs diagnostics and troubleshoot methods to resolve hardware & software problems in the consortium CHDs.
