Job summary

The Symicor Group in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Loan Workout Portfolio Manager to oversee distressed, delinquent, or high‑risk commercial loans and to develop strategies that maximize recovery and minimize losses. This is not a remote role and offers a generous salary up to $135K plus a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in commercial banking, credit analysis, or special assets/loan workout.
• Deep experience with financial analysis.
• College degree preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial lending, e.g. commercial real estate, construction and C&I products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a workout plan to rehabilitate loans or facilitate orderly exits.
• Prepare Credit Reviews to assess asset quality, including performance against original underwriting expectations.
• Work with legal counsel on bankruptcies, foreclosure actions, and debt restructurings.
• Experience writing policies and procedures for collateral monitoring, workouts, and periodic loan reviews.
• Report on the assigned portfolio, including asset quality, stress testing, industry and market analysis, asset allocation, reserves, and non-performing loan analysis.
• Draft memos for any substantial changes in a borrower’s financial stability or ownership structure.
