Job summary

Rockland Trust, a leading Massachusetts-based bank, seeks a Special Assets Portfolio Manager to underwrite and manage a portfolio of criticized commercial loans (C&I and Real Estate). You will collaborate with workout officers and SAG Credit Officer to mitigate risk and preserve asset value.

The role emphasizes credit analysis, loan restructurings, renewals, and reporting across credit administration, operations, and external partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent.
• 2+ years of prior Commercial Credit Analysis experience.
• Previous experience in servicing distressed portfolios of commercial loans.
• Formal Credit Training highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain an assigned portfolio of classified assets.
• Prepare loan packages for loan restructure approval, including submission to Special Asset Committee.
• Prepare credit analysis for existing relationships with emphasis on loan restructuring and risk mitigation.
• Assist workout officers in preparing Watched Asset Reports & Classified Assets Reports as needed.
• Assist REO officers in preparation of OREO asset and reconciliation reports; bid strategies as needed.
• Follow up on loan delinquencies and ensure timely renewals of loan maturities.
• Monitor current loans and credit lines for covenant compliance.
