American Electric Power is seeking a Distribution Work Scheduling Manager to oversee the district work plan, provide leadership across the scheduling team, and coordinate with engineering and project management to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field with a minimum of 5 years experience managing projects, construction or distribution line and operations
• OR Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field with a minimum of 7 years experience managing projects, construction or distribution line and operations
• OR High School diploma/GED with a minimum of 8 years experience managing projects, construction or distribution line and operations
• 5 years of direct supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, coordinate and manage assigned project and outage work activities for customers as well as provide direct oversight of others leading these activities.
• Provide wide ranging project management guidance, instruction, and training to others to improve design, systems, processes, procedures, schedules, and costs.
• Administer the Company's job performance review and merit salary programs, management information and policies.

Job Summary

Responsible for effectively overseeing the execution of the district's work plan while providing leadership, direction, training, and collaborative communication of the work plan to various stakeholders. Effective and responsible oversight of the work plan shall include promoting a positive culture by connecting long and short range goals to the five-year work plan strategy for obtaining maximum customer satisfaction while improving system reliability. What We're Looking For:

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field of study with a minimum of 5 years experience managing projects, construction or distribution line and operations
• OR Associate's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field of study with a minimum of 7 years experience managing projects, construction or distribution line and operations

Licenses/Certifications:

Responsible to assigned Line Management for supervising the work of a line crew and performing the work of a Line Mechanic A. The type of work involves construction operation and maintenance of distribution, overhead and underground facilities. Activities associated with the performance of this work include planning procedures, directing or supervising assigned crew members, and exercising independent judgement.

The DSO Real-Time Reliability Coordinator provides real-time evaluation and coordination of DER impacts to support reliable DDC operations. This role works across DDCs, the SCC, Transmission, engineering, planning, applications, and external stakeholders to identify reliability risks, communicate system constraints, recommend mitigation strategies, and support DER-enabled grid services. The Coordinator level is expected to perform core duties with increasing independence while helping mature DSO operational models, tools, documentation, and coordination practices.

Responsible for assisting in the safe and reliable operation, dispatching, and restoration of facilities for the AEP Distribution System as assigned
