Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineer for Core Infrastructure, focusing on Compute, Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code. This hybrid role allows work from home and in LinkedIn offices on select days, with the primary base options in Mountain View, CA or Bellevue, WA.

The engineer will shape technical strategy across infrastructure, lead cross-team initiatives, and contribute to design and implementation efforts across private cloud and fleet infrastructure at massive scale.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
10+ years of relevant work experience in infrastructure engineering.
Experience leading technical projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define long-term technical strategy across LinkedIn’s core infrastructure, including compute and deployment.
Lead cross-team and cross-functional initiatives and drive alignment on technology strategy.
Contribute to initiatives through design and implementation activities.
Improve craftsmanship by developing best practices and defining strategies.
Balance quality, efficiency, and cost in architectural decisions.
Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the organization.
Drive multi-domain infrastructure architecture with scalability and reliability in mind.
