Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineer for Systems Infrastructure—Compute, Deployment, and Infrastructure as Code. This hybrid role can be based in Mountain View, CA or Bellevue, WA, performing work both from home and in LinkedIn offices on select days.

You will partner with senior engineering leaders to shape long-term technical strategy, lead cross-team initiatives, and drive architecture across compute, deployment, and private cloud platforms at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
• Experience leading technical projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term technical strategy across LinkedIn’s core infrastructure (compute, deployment, IaC).
• Lead cross-team and cross-functional initiatives.
• Drive alignment on technology strategy across teams and domains.
• Contribute to initiatives through design and implementation work.
• Raise craftsmanship by defining best practices and engineering standards.
• Set the bar for quality and efficiency of software systems while balancing cost.
