Job summary

LinkedIn is seeking a Distinguished Software Engineer to shape the future of its Core Infrastructure platform, focusing on storage and related systems in a hybrid work setting based in Mountain View, CA or Bellevue, WA. You will partner with senior leaders to steer long-term strategy and drive cross-team initiatives across storage, messaging, fleet management, and control planes.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of infrastructure engineering experience.
Experience leading technical projects with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Define long-term technical strategy across LinkedIn's core infrastructure, including storage and messaging systems.
Lead cross-team and cross-functional initiatives spanning distributed systems, storage platforms, and event-driven architectures.
Head cross-team discussions and drive alignment on technology strategy.
Contribute to initiatives through design and implementation activities with engineers on the team.
Improve craftsmanship by developing best practices and defining strategies.
