Job summary

NetApp seeks a Distinguished Engineer to lead the AI infrastructure at scale, architecting inference platforms that serve millions of requests with low latency and high reliability. You will set the technical North Star and translate complex problems into defensible architectures guiding product roadmaps.

You will mentor senior engineers, shape strategy across ONTAP and AI workloads, and drive evangelization of NetApp technologies with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 15+ years architecting fault-tolerant, low-latency distributed systems.
• Expertise with consensus protocols, distributed state, and data consistency.
• Experience with AI/ML workloads, model registries, and multi-tenant serving.
• Strong ability to translate business problems into scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define the roadmap and long-term vision for AI infrastructure.
• Partner with Product management and engineering to deliver next-gen products.
• Mentor engineers and set technical standards as a bar-raiser.
