Job summary

Iowa Valley Community College District in District Services seeks an Instructional Designer & LMS Administrator to support the development and delivery of high-quality distance learning by combining instructional design with LMS administration.

You will configure, maintain, and secure the LMS and related systems, collaborate with faculty, provide training, and help ensure ADA/FERPA compliance and NC-SARA alignment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 1 year of experience preferred.
• Experience with Canvas LMS and HTML coding required.
• Knowledge of ADA and FERPA compliance and NC-SARA.
• Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical users.

Responsibilities

• LMS Administration and Technical Support across LMS, assessment systems, and third-party tools.
• Designs, develops, and revises distance learning courses and materials following best practices.
• Develops professional development and training resources for LMS and related systems.
• Assists with policies for distance learning and assessment; supports compliance reporting.
• Participates in District committees and assists IT with cyber/data security planning for LMS.
