Job summary

Raymour & Flanigan Furniture and Mattresses is seeking a Distribution Reconciliation Specialist to assist in developing a strong cycle count process and resolving inventory issues. You will work with the Distribution Inventory Control Manager and partners across Delivery, Customer Service, Operations, and Sales to improve the customer shopping experience.

The role requires associate's degree (preferred), 1 year in inventory control, and the ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including

Responsibilities

• Classify, label and warehouse all product inventory for future use.
• Reconcile the inventory records for a complete and accurate count.
• Assist receiving and shipping in logging all incoming inventory purchases and support loss prevention investigations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and report shortages, overages and levels monthly for replenishment.
• Coordinate logistics planning for material transfers between locations to meet promised ship dates.
• Develop, maintain and enforce proper practices for product lines and continuous improvement of operations.

Job description

The Distribution Reconciliation Specialist is an entry to mid-level position and as part of the Distribution team is chartered to assist in developing a strong effective cycle count process, researching and resolving inventory issues. The role of Distribution Reconciliation Specialist will assist the Distribution Inventory Control Manager in the operational inventory control functions of Raymour & Flanigan. The objective is that these products be delivered on time, to the proper destination, in the quantity ordered, and with the agreed upon quality standards consistent with the expectations of the company and our customers. This position reports directly to the Distribution Inventory Control Manager and partners with the Delivery, Customer Service, Operations and Sales Managers to enhance the customer shopping experience.

• Responsible for accurate quarterly and year end physical inventory for customer distribution center within the region.

• Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory levels.
• Report shortages, overages and all inventory levels monthly for replenishment.
• Assist inventory control manager with allocation of resources, training, safety, efficiency and execution to promised delivery.
• Coordinate: logistic distribution plan for material where quantity or deliveries could impact promised ship dates, availability of all necessary product and scheduling and release of product and transfer process between locations.
• Develop, maintain and enforce proper practices for product lines.
• Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly with all departments as well as vendors/suppliers to provide quality seamless customer service.
• Excellent listening skills and the ability to work independently and with a team.
• Perform additional functions that may be assigned at the discretion of management.

Physical Requirements

Lift, lower, push, pull all sizes of furniture up to and in excess of 100 lbs. Unload shuttle inventory trucks. In the process of moving furniture, accessories, boxes and packages from one location to another, the inventory control coordinator must lift, bend, stoop, reach, twist, push and pull.
