W. W. Grainger is seeking a Distribution Center Associate for the Day Shift (Mon-Fri, 10:00 AM–5:00 PM), 30 hours/week, in Anchorage.

The role involves inbound/outbound tasks, picking, packing, and maintaining safety and accuracy in a fast-paced DC environment. Base pay starts at $23.10/hour with raises to $24.30/hour over 12 months; additional $1/hour for PIE operators and for overnight shifts. Benefits start on day one, including healthcare, PTO, and a 401(k) plan, with ongoing development

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 75 pounds.
• Comfortable standing for long periods and around moving equipment.
• Able to work in a team and receive feedback.
• For PIE operators: operate warehouse vehicles and powered industrial equipment listed above.

Responsibilities

• Perform inbound/outbound warehouse tasks with accuracy (unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, packing).
• Ensure correct shipment to meet customers' quality and delivery expectations.
• Meet safety, quality, productivity, attendance and overtime requirements as needed.
• Operate scanners and maintain a clean, safe work environment per OSHA and hazardous materials rules.
• Execute other tasks as directed by leadership.

Compensation

This position is hourly. Pay starts at $23.10/hour [with three raises in 12 months bringing your pay to $24.30/hour]

• + $1/hour for powered industrial equipment (PIE) operators**
• $1/hour for working overnight shift

The Distribution Center Associate performs warehouse responsibilities and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, shipping, general maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities to guarantee a safe and clean work environment. Ensure compliance with safety requirements by performing inspections and maintenance. You will role report directly to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and have regular interaction with other DC Associates.

Day Shift: Part Time (30 hours per week) Mon - Fri from 10AM-5PM

You Will

Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks with strong attention to detail. For example, unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, and packing products

Ensure products are shipped correctly to exceed customers' expectations for quality and delivery speed

Meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements as needed

Operate computerized scanning equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements

Perform other tasks as directed by leadership

You Have

Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment and elevated stations

At least 18 years of age

Ability to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 75 pounds

Ability to receive feedback and work well in a team environment

**For PIE operators: ability to operate warehouse vehicles, material handling equipment and powered industrial equipment, including Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett and Turret Truck
