Grainger in Patterson, CA is seeking a Distribution Center Associate to support inbound/outbound warehouse tasks and inventory integrity. This on-site role reports to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork.

Shift: Days, Mon-Fri, 9:15am to 8:00pm. Pay starts at $22/hour with raises to $23.20/hour; PIE and overnight premiums may apply. Benefits include health insurance from day one, PTO, holidays, and a 401(k) match.

Compensation

This position is hourly. Pay starts at$22/hour [with three raises in 12 months bringing your pay to $23.20/hour]

• + $1/hour for powered industrial equipment (PIE) operators**
• $1/hour for working overnight shift

The Distribution Center Associate performs warehouse responsibilities and functions to support inventory integrity, order processing – picking, packing, staging, shipping, general maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities to guarantee a safe and clean work environment. Ensure compliance with safety requirements by performing inspections and maintenance. You will role report directly to a DC Supervisor or Process Manager and have regular interaction with other DC Associates.

Shift:

Days: Monday - Friday 9:15am or 9:45am until closing time (can be as late as 8:00pm)

You Will

• Safely complete inbound and/or outbound warehouse tasks with strong attention to detail. For example, unloading, sorting, labeling, replenishing, auditing, picking and packing products
• Ensure products are shipped correctly to exceed customers' expectations for quality and delivery speed
• Meet safety, quality, productivity, behavior, attendance, and overtime requirements as needed
• Operate computerized scanning equipment and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and Hazardous Material requirements
• Perform other tasks as directed by leadership

You Have

• Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment and elevated stations
• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to frequently lift, slide and lower packages up to 75 pounds
• Ability to receive feedback and work well in a team environment
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check and physical lifting assessment
• **For PIE operators: ability to operate warehouse vehicles, material handling equipment and powered industrial equipment, including Crown, Pacer, Reach Truck, Order Picker, Barrett, Turret Truck and Forklift
• Previous warehouse, retail, or customer service experience in fast-paced environments
• Great attention to detail, quality, and safety
