Job summary

Apple, Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer for Display technologies to evaluate and develop complex manufacturing processes for display components and assemblies.

You will collaborate with internal engineering teams and suppliers to ensure mechanical manufacturability while driving quality, efficiency, and process control. The role requires hands-on DFx involvement, DOE execution, and project leadership across supplier sites, with travel up to 30%.

Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in process development, line bring-up, qualification, design, or manufacturing.
• Strong experience with mechanical manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Knowledge of measurement equipment, metrology design, and optical/contact measurement equipment.
• DOE and SPC methods and theory.
• Data analytics with Excel, JMP, Tableau, Python.
• Background in factory layout, flow, cycle time, and efficiency management.
• Program/project management or supplier management experience.
• Creative problem-solving and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Review and provide feedback on design and design intent of components and assemblies; partner with cross-functional teams to evaluate designs for manufacturability.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM): involve manufacturing early to ensure mechanical manufacturability.
• Design, develop, and improve complex manufacturing practices for parts and assemblies.
• Set standard manufacturing practices and assess impact on design and product parameters.
• Drive DOE to prove manufacturing processes and analyze data for process control.
• Coordinate all manufacturing engineering functions for a program and lead supplier-site efforts.
• Provide creative solutions for assembly processes and drive cross-functional corrective actions.
• Present technical issues and project updates to management and partners.
• International travel to supplier sites up to 30%.
