Service Dispatcher

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused Service Dispatcher. You will be responsible for dispatching work for technicians and maintaining daily schedules for these technicians. You will also spend a great deal of time speaking to Service Advisors, Technicians, & Parts Staff, so friendliness and a professional demeanor are important in this position.

Job Description

• Schedule shop work as efficiently as possible in accordance with dealership policy.
• Assign work to the correct technician level
• Ensure that technicians follow warranty material disposition procedures
• Administer safety and housekeeping policies and procedures
• Review hard copies turned in by technicians to ensure that assigned work has been completed properly
• Ensure technicians complete the multi-point vehicle inspection forms
• Ensure each warranty RO has a vehicle history attached
• Coordinate parts requirements with the Parts Department
• Spot-check repairs to assure quality and timely completion
• Prepair repair estimates including parts and labor quotes for Service Advisors to quote to customers.
• Understand and follow federal, state, and local regulations such as those governing the disposal of hazardous wastes, OSHA right-to-know, etc.
• Ensure that all repair orders are accounted for and closed when work is completed
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Shop Foreman or similar role. Strong technical background in automotive repair. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Effective leadership and communication abilities. Familiarity with automotive diagnostic tools and equipment. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to quality service. Knowledge of industry safety standards and regulations.

Schedule

• 7AM - 4:30PM, Monday thru Friday
• 7AM - 7PM on Tues or Wednesday every other week (one late night every other week).
