Job summary

Depot Connect International is seeking a Terminal Dispatcher to join our growing logistics team in the United States. You will coordinate truck driver dispatches for customer locations, ports, and rail terminals, ensuring accurate bookings and timely billing.

You will enter planning data and maintain clear communications with the terminal to support special customer requests. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, familiarity with DOT regulations, and the ability to thrive in a

Responsibilities

• Dispatch truck drivers for pickups at customer locations, ports, and rail terminals.
• Confirm bookings and billings to meet customer requirements.
• Enter data into our planning system and communicate with the terminal.
• Coordinate with customers for special requests and urgent needs.
• Be prepared to extend hours to meet service levels.

At DCI Dispatchers are the oil that keeps our machine (terminal) running smoothly. If you are an agile individual who can pivot to prioritize to handle sudden route changes or delivery issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Dispatch truck drivers for pick-ups at customer locations, local ports, and railroads


• Confirm proper bookings and billings to meet customer requirements


• Enter data in the computer for planning and general information


• Provide necessary communications to the terminal regarding specific customer requests


• Be willing to work extended hours to meet and exceed customer needs

Qualifications and Skills:

• High School Diploma or GED


• Experience in the trucking and/or intermodal transportation industry.


• Knowledge of DOT regulations and Safety Compliance


• Familiarity with DOT safety compliance


• Thrives off working in a high paced environment
