Job summary

UPMC Chartwell in Oakdale, PA is seeking a Full Time Dispatcher to coordinate medication and supply deliveries, serving as the central communication hub between pharmacy, nursing, delivery staff and operations to ensure timely, safe, and accurate service.

The Dispatcher will also provide backup support to Patient Delivery Representatives, help with order preparation, logs, and warehouse activities, and participate in a rotating on-call schedule with a Tuesday–Friday 12:00 PM–8:30 PM and Saturday

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and dispatch medication and supply deliveries to ensure timely and accurate service.
• Communicate effectively with pharmacy, nursing, and delivery teams regarding delivery schedules and priorities.
• Assemble, package, and prepare orders for same-day and next-day delivery.
• Maintain delivery logs and documentation.
• Assist with order picking, shipping, and warehouse support activities as needed.
• Perform Patient Service Representative (PSR) duties when required.
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
• Support planning and coordination efforts with operational and reimbursement teams.
• Monitor priorities and adjust workflows to meet changing delivery demands.
• Perform routine duties associated with company vehicles to help ensure they remain clean and in proper working order.
• Demonstrate strong productivity, organization, and attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Carry out all responsibilities in accordance with company policies and core values.

UPMC Chartwell is seeking a Full Time Dispatcher to join our team in Oakdale!

Schedule: Tuesday through Friday 12:00 PM-8:30 PM; Saturday 8:00 AM-4:30 PM. Participation in a rotating on-call schedule is required.

The Dispatcher plays a critical role in supporting medication and supply delivery operations by coordinating timely, safe, and accurate deliveries to patients. This position serves as a central communication hub between pharmacy, nursing, delivery staff, and operations teams to ensure efficient logistics and exceptional service. The Dispatcher also provides backup support to Patient Delivery Representatives as needed and contributes to the overall success of daily warehouse and distribution operations.
