The position features a remote/rotational schedule, with an 84-hour workweek and meals and lodging provided on location, plus transportation from Anchorage. Candidates should have heavy equipment experience and a valid CDL with Tanker/Haz-Mat endorsements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job description

This is a remote/ rotational position, working on the North Slope of Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage to the North Slope is provided.

Job Purpose:

The Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating, scheduling, and tracking mobile equipment and vehicle resources in support of North Slope oil and gas operations. This position serves as the primary point of contact for equipment requests, ensuring resources are assigned efficiently and safely to support maintenance, construction, operations, and logistics activities while maximizing equipment utilization and minimizing downtime.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation
  • Extensive telephone and two-way radio communications with Client and crews
  • Represent Worley and Client interests with the highest degree of professionalism and integrity
  • Maintain communication with supervisors and peers to ensure continual alignment with contract objectives
  • Provide supervision and or direction to crew
  • Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly
  • Assign a mentor to new crew members and verify that mentoring process is followed and completed
  • Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and
  • Encourage open communication from team members
  • Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance and treat all employees with respect
  • Promptly report all incidents
  • Continually seek improvement in work processes
  • Attend and participate in toolbox and safety meetings
  • Audit PTSP cards for complete job hazard assessment and proper mitigation
  • Develop and maintain an efficient and effective alternate relationship

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Detailed field wide knowledge of the North Slope.
  • Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.
  • Knowledge of safe equipment operations and maintenance of equipment.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast paced office environment.
  • Ability to read, understand and communicate to others information relating to safety/technical manuals, procedures, permits, JSA's (Job Safety Analysis), PTSP cards, and safety/warning signs.
  • Ability to display sufficient oral communication skills to give and receive emergency instructions, safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
  • Ability to follow all company, client, safety and regulatory requirements, including, but not limited to, policies, procedures, standards and guidelines as they relate to this position and the work duties being performed.
  • Ability to hear audible safety alarms and warnings.
  • Ability to use hands and fingers with sufficient dexterity to perform close, exacting and repetitive tasks.
  • Knowledge of all jobs performed is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain CDL and medical certifications and fill in for operators as needed. Anticipated driving time < 10%.
Physical Demands/Work Environment:

Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time.
  • Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
  • Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
  • Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
  • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
  • Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
  • Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
  • Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
  • Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Required Qualifications
  • Five (5) years of experience in operating various types of heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and Haz-Mat endorsement.
  • North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC).Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience directing an average crew size of five or more.
  • One (1) year of experience working on Office Suite programs (i.e. Word, Excel, & Outlook)
  • Petrochemical, oilfield or arctic experience
