Job summary

Worley seeks a Field Foreman to lead on-site field crews at the North Slope, Alaska. This rotational role involves directing oilfield operations, including Wells Support, fluid hauling and rig support, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

Expect 84-hour weeks, meals/lodging provided, and transport between Anchorage and site. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and NSTC certification, plus two years of oilfield bolt up and equipment-operating experience.

Job description

This is a remote/ rotational position, working on the North Slope of Alaska. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and the North Slope is provided.Worley offers a competitive benefits package, with company paid short-term disability, life insurance, paid sick leave, and 4.5% employer match on 401k.Job Purpose:The Field Foreman(s) will serve as the onsite single point of contact for the Field Support work crews, inclusive of Wells Support hardline, fluid hauling, roustabout crews, and general rig support driver operators. The Field Foreman will direct the work of crews based on job criteria including size of crew, work complexity, and any applicable state or federal requirements.Essential Job Functions:Manage field requests and direct work crews in the execution of field requests.Ensure cross training and functional role development occurs within work crews.Tack and monitor use of equipment and provide input to General Foreman regarding equipment utilization.Supervise of one or more trade groups in a particular discipline for the Fluid Hauling operation, which requires labor force disciplines trained and experienced in oil field operations in support of operating vac trucks for Drilling, Wells, Projects and Operations, Water Tankers, infield delivery of chemicals, and other work that may be directed by 3rd Party Clients, including but not limited to Fueling Operations.Promote safe work practices and implement company and client safety policies for work crew, including proper hazard recognition and mitigation.Provide supervision and or direction to crew.Ensure all crew members have the required skills and abilities to perform job tasks safely and correctly.Assign a mentor to new crew members and verify that mentoring process is followed and completed.Regularly communicate expectations to crew with respect to work execution, safety, procedures, efficiency and encourage open communication from team members.Provide regular and timely feedback regarding performance.Serve as a technical authority to crew and management team with respect to energy isolation, bolt up procedures, rigging and equipment operations.Plan and supervise workforce which may consist of leadmen and/or craft in performance of assigned work activities, including determination of manpower levels, material quantities, equipment, work schedules and documentation of actual hours worked.Demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system objectives and the ability to maintain positive support with our contract objectives and goals.Continually seek improvement in work processes.Routinely perform safety and productivity observations; shop, field, and vehicle inspections; and attend various components of technical, developmental and safety training.Assist in resolving performance problems, such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc., as required.Approve time and ensure any required approvals for holdovers or additional overtime are obtained.Conduct weekly safety meeting for crew.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and competing demands simultaneously.Knowledge of applicable technical and safety policies, procedures and standards.Knowledge of the functional operation, purpose, capabilities and limitations of any piece of equipment qualified to operate.Ability to train, direct and assess employee’s knowledge in equipment operation/driving.Working knowledge of torque calibrator, rigging techniques, and equipment operating guidelines, bolt up,rigging procedures, and ability to identify flange and gasket ratings.Knowledge of and ability to respond to audit requirements.Ability to facilitate meetings and communicate knowledge of scheduled and performed work.Ability to prepare reports and correspondence as necessary.Ability to read and understand electrical/instrumentation drawings and P&ID’s.Ability to work cooperatively with others and alternate.Possess strong organization and planning skills.Must be a self-starter; able to work independently with minimal supervision.Previous experience in delivery of customer service, and the ability to establish and maintain a rapport and strong.working relationship with co-workers and client representatives.Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to relate to and work with personnel in all levels of an organization.including the client, the management team, other work crews, and subordinates.Physical Demands/Work Environment:Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination.
