Overview

We are seeking a Dispatcher III. The role involves overseeing and documenting local shipment pickups and deliveries, and coordinating communication between drivers and delivery agents.

Responsibilities

• Route local freight, dispatch drivers, perform dock checks, track shipments, and coordinate with dock staff to ensure freight movement.
• Enter shipment milestones into MyAIT & AS400 systems promptly, including pickup, delivery, and proof of delivery.
• Provide excellent customer service, address inquiries, and resolve concerns or complaints.
• Plan driver loads based on local mapping and appointments.
• Prioritize rushed, urgent, or last-minute shipments.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business demands.

Qualifications

• Customer-focused, with strong relationship-building skills.
• High School Diploma/GED required; Associate Degree or higher preferred.
• 5-7 years of experience in freight forwarding or customer service/operations preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with AS400 preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Excellent geographic and routing skills.
• Effective communication skills with customers, drivers, and colleagues.
