Job summary

The Kenan Advantage Group in Springfield, MO is seeking a Dispatch Associate to execute daily plans for movement of all freight within an assigned area and to coordinate with drivers and suppliers.

You will assess customer needs and timing of deliveries, manage daily delivery schedules, and provide frontline customer service for existing accounts while maintaining clear communication with team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Position Summary

This position is responsible for executing a daily plan for movement of all freight within an assigned area.

Essential Functions

• Assess customer needs and timing of deliveries


• Manage daily delivery schedule for drivers


• Plan deliveries to inventory-managed retail gas outlets


• Receive orders from suppliers, gas station dealers, and renewable fuels distributors


• Provide frontline customer service for existing accounts


• Answer all incoming phone calls promptly and courteously


• Monitor e-mail for incoming orders, inventory updates, and communication between team members


• Monitor web portals for station inventories


• Solicit freight from customers


• Create loads in dispatch system


• Divide dispatch responsibilities with other team members


• Enter incidents into KITS (incident reporting system)
