Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services, ensuring timely dispatch and management of requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Understand and apply patient transport concepts, infection control, and body mechanics.
• Develop dispatcher logic and transport activities; transport patients when necessary.
• Direct transport activities, monitor procedures, and follow up on service issues.
• Address requests efficiently, respecting departmental standards and patient schedules.
• Act as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Manage pagers and sign-in/out procedures.
• Build positive relationships with patients, visitors, and staff; ensure dispatch accuracy.
• Resolve complaints and recommend solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
