Job Title: Dispatcher

• We are hiring immediately for full-time Dispatcher positions.
• Location: Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center - 3333 Silas Creek Parkway, Winston Salem, NC 27103. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior dispatcher experience preferred.

• Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Coordinates and monitors Patient Transportation services activities through timely, accurate dispatch and management of customer transportation requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.
• Applies knowledge of patient transport, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
• Develops dispatcher logic and manages transporter activities, including transporting patients when necessary.
• Directs transport activities, ensuring timely completion and monitoring procedures.
• Addresses requests efficiently according to standards and priorities.
• Acts as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.
• Manages pagers and sign-in/out procedures.
• Builds positive relationships with patients, visitors, staff, and ensures efficient dispatch.
• Resolves complaints and recommends solutions for recurring issues.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
