Job summary

Cooper Electric Supply, LLC, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring a Dispatcher to coordinate CDL and non-CDL drivers in Cranbury, NJ. You will communicate with customers about deliveries, analyze routes, review logs, and maintain accurate records to keep our operations moving smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch and schedule CDL and non-CDL drivers.
• Communicate with customers about deliveries and service issues.
• Analyze routes, review driver logs, maintain records.
• Resolve delivery issues through coordination with drivers and teams.
• Print and distribute daily manifests.
• Direct truck and trailer movement within the yard.
• Assess truck capacity and identify alternative delivery options.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and report equipment issues.
• Provide shift handoff reports for seamless transitions.
• Escalate driver concerns to leadership.
• Collaborate with operations to troubleshoot shift issues.
• Review orders and routes to prevent problems.

What You Will Do

• Dispatch and schedule both CDL and non-CDL drivers.
• Communicate with customers regarding deliveries, special handling requests, and service-related issues.
• Analyze routes, review driver logs, and maintain accurate records.
• Resolve delivery issues through regular communication with drivers, customers, and internal teams.
• Print and distribute daily manifests.
• Direct the movement and positioning of trucks and trailers within the yard.
• Assess truck capacity and identify alternative delivery solutions when needed.
• Coordinate vehicle repairs and communicate equipment-related issues.
• Provide detailed shift handoff reports to ensure seamless transition between teams.
• Escalate driver concerns or performance issues to leadership as appropriate.
• Partner with the operations team to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues during the shift.
• Review orders and routes proactively to identify and correct potential problems.

Compensation

Salary Range: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour

Location: Cranbury, NJ

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm.
