Job summary

Fresh Express Salads is seeking a Dispatcher for the 6:00 pm to 4:30 am shift in Illinois. The role involves dispatching outbound loads, ensuring accurate PRMS data entry, and maintaining documentation per company policy.

You will coordinate shipping/receiving across departments and oversee document flow and carrier pickups. The position requires strong Excel/Outlook skills, multitasking ability, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Dispatch all outbound loads and confirm destinations.

• Shuttle BOLs, emails, and documents; ensure proper documentation.
• Oversee VOICE Queue and troubleshoot system issues to maintain workflow.
• Ensure SOX compliance and maintain paperwork per policy.

Job description

The Dispatcher is responsible for the timely and accurate entering of all shipment information into PRMS and maintaining documents/files in accordance with company policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the coordination of shipping and receiving activities, including dock usage.

Schedule: 6:00 pm to 4:30 am - Sunday and Monday off

Job Function Statements - Essential Functions:

• Communication with Production, Scheduling, Purchasing, Transportation, Customer Service, and the rest of the team on a regular basis (conference calls, proactive communication and information sharing as needed).
• Maintaining supplies and ordering as needed (including office supplies, BOL's, templates, etc.)
• Dispatch all outbound loads, confirm destination, and seal trailers.
• Accurate data entry and file maintenance in PRMS.
• Following proper documentation procedures.
• Ship confirmation of Customer orders.
• Shuttle BOL's, e-mails, documents, and communication.
• Compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Oversee VOICE Queue to disseminate work to all associates. Troubleshoot system issues to ensure workflow continues.
• Responsible for order assignment que and truck check in.
• Maintain all paperwork, files, and documents according to company policy and procedure.
• Control movement/loading of all empty pallet and bin trailers. All full trailers to be communicated to Transportation, so that carrier pick-ups can be arranged.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

Required Qualifications/Skills:

• Excel, Word and Outlook computer software skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, constant-changing environment.
• Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills; able to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work holidays, days, nights and weekends as necessary.
• Capable of working in a cold (34 degrees Fahrenheit) and wet environment.
• Basic math skills.

• Bilingual English/Spanish and/or English/Polish.
• AS400 computer software skills.
• Inventory experience.
