Job summary

Aston Carter in Plymouth, MI is seeking a high-energy Dispatcher to coordinate vehicle shipments from pickup through delivery. This fully onsite role requires strong communication with carriers and customers and a willingness to work Monday through Friday, 1 PM to 10 PM.

You will monitor shipments in the TMS, source carrier capacity, resolve delays, and collaborate with operations and clients to ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 1+ year logistics/dispatch experience.

Looking to break into full time career within logistics or grow your transportation career? We're seeking a high-energy, customer-focused Dispatcher to coordinate vehicle shipments from pickup through delivery while building strong relationships with carriers and customers.

Responsibilities

• Manage shipments from assignment through delivery
• Monitor load status and provide shipment updates
• Source carrier capacity and coordinate transportation moves
• Resolve delays, service issues, and delivery exceptions
• Maintain accurate information within the TMS system
• Partner with operations, carriers, and customers to ensure successful deliveries

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred OR 1+ year of logistics, transportation, dispatch, brokerage, or supply chain experience OR 2-5 years of high-volume customer service/call center experience
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to learn transportation software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Professional demeanor, and strong sense of urgency

Job Type & Location

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $55000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
