Job summary

TNT Crane & Rigging, Inc. is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to schedule crane and haul tasks at our San Antonio branch. The role involves managing job tasks, coordinating with operators and riggers, and ensuring timely invoicing and location details.

Ideal candidates will have 3–7 years in industrial dispatching and crane operations, with preferred CDL Class A. Local candidates for the Austin/San Antonio area are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• College degree preferred.
• CDL Class A preferred.
• 3-7 years of industrial dispatching/scheduling duties.
• 3-7 years of crane operations and rigging techniques.
• Mechanical and analytical skills preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and determine that an assigned crane can perform the lift by utilizing the manufacturer's load charts.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming calls from external and internal customers.
• Records the following on the daily schedule: crane size, operator, date/time, customer, location and job task description, special rigging, contact name/phone, invoicing information.
• Date of the assigned job task and time to be at location.
• Co-ordinates efforts with the On-Call person for scheduling conflicts or equipment concerns.
• End of shift reviews with On-Call for all assignments on the schedule.

Summary: The position schedules job tasks for cranes and/or haul trucks after receiving requirements from customers. Records on the daily schedule, the crane size required, assigned operator, date and time required, customer, location and description of the job task, special rigging that maybe required, contact name and phone number(s), and invoicing information.

Responsibilities

• Receives incoming calls from external and internal customers.
• Records the following on the daily schedule:
  • Crane size required for the job task.
  • Completes the job ticket with the following information:
    • Assigned operator and/or rigger for the job task.
    • Date and time requested to be on job site and estimated hours or days till completion of the task.
    • Customer complete company's name that will be receiving the invoice.
    • Direction to job location and the description of the job task.
    • Special rigging that maybe required. (i.e. spreader bar, man basket, etc.)
    • Contact's name and phone number(s)
    • Invoicing information.
  • Date of the assigned job task.
  • Time the operator and/or rigger is to be at location
  • Weight and height of the load that will be lifted.
  • Reach, the total horizontal distance the load will be lifted away from the crane.
  • Coordinates efforts with the person "On-Call" whenever the schedule is nearly full and/or if there are any concerns such as over lapping times for job assignments, manpower, equipment concerns, etc.
  • At the end of your shift reviews with the person "On-Call" all the job assignments that is on the schedule along with any other job tasks that may be forthcoming.
